Figure Identified

Our very good friend Paul Morehead editor of Plastic Warrior has identified this cowboy figure. Here is what he said.

The Cowboy with the bank bag, that you posted on your site, is by Tibidabo. He is obviously by the same sculptor as designed the Dulcop figures. There is another one which goes with it and he has a beard and has a sawn-off shotgun, firing to the side (based on a Cherilea pose). But neither of them is by Cherilea or Charbens, or any other English make.

Tibidabo is an Italian company that copied other companies’  figures including the Marx 54mm knights.

He’s done much better than the Dulcop figures, but the base does look similar, just not as thick.

  2. I picture all six Tibidabo foot cowboys at my Cherilea page where I had put them years ago by mistake. Several years ago someone corrected me but I forgot to change them. Glad they were re-identified. Interestingly all three of the bank robbers I have ever seen were yellow painted gray. factory?
