Peter Evans Finds September

Our very good friend Peter Evans has come up with some more great finds of figures from Merry Old England. The first one is called Dragon Knights. The figures sell for 1.20 and are about 60 to 65mm.

The next picture is two pirates which are 54mm. I believe they are resin nice additions to my pirate collection.

Three western figures on one hand are pretty crude. I do like cowboy with either hat or bag in his hand.  I believe these figures are 45mm.

Here is Pope Paul the Second and a stretcher team. Pope Paul is a resin. The stretcher may be copy of the Marx U.S. Army Stretcher team. The wounded figure and the stretcher are Marx. I am not sure of the bearers. The bearers are 40mm.

The next figures at first glance look like figures we get here. You would be correct until you look at the helmet. The Chinese company not knowing the helmet of the British Soldier decided to make them look like Policeman Bobbie helmets.

The photo is a sad trend in new plastic figures. Due to the cost of  plastic, the Chinese are saving money by making the figures flat. Hopefully this trend will not continue.

It is interesting what we get in our dollar stores verus what they get in their pound shops. I will have to check with my other European friends  to see what they see in their Euro stores.
