Wow ! those wounded Russian Timmee figures must be really rare first one I ever heard of LOL

  2. erwin says:

The funny part is the description of company name as correct for the figures and soldiers/army description sooo wrong!!WOW!!, this seller had never seen either a US soldier/marine or Russian from ww2 till 1980 or both; may be the dog wrote the description!!.LOL!!

  3. Don Perkins says:

You have to wonder how the seller got the idea that the wounded soldier was a Russian — and that this particular wounded Russian was “rare”. I noticed from this seller’s other items that he has two other toy soldier listings — one for Marx Rev. War figures, and a second lot of WWI Betons with rectangular bases. He uses the word “rare” in all 3 listings.

      Don
People think if you put the word rare it will help to sell the item. Because of the abuse of the word rare Plastic Warrior used the terms hard to find and very hard to find when I use the word rare I only use when I know the item is rare.

  4. erwin says:

He/she is a young person probably with no knowledge of vintage (RARE) for him toys..So what we should expect!!..I felt sorry now; I will help him/her a bit I guess…I hope don’t get offended!!LOL!!

      Erwin
I gave up on helping people on their EBay mistakes as I got negative response

      • erwin says:

well this one thanks GOD did not so far ,he put something ,still he just mention one figure not been russian,i told him ,none are ,they all were Americans!LOL!!Jesus !!what a …ok…I give up now,you are right Paul

  5. Ed Connell says:

I have too Paul, I’ve tried telling some people the correct makes in the past, and people get as mad as hornets. I believe a lot of them definitely know, and do it intentionally. Its also crazy what some of the prices people put up on stuff, don’t they get a clue when it doesn’t sale in a year, that it is overpriced.

  6. Ed Borris says:

I couldn’t even begin to guess how many times people list a mixed lot of figures as Marx and there isn’t a single Marx figure in the bunch. Then there are the people that list re-casts as rare.

  7. Ed Connell says:

Thats a hoot, I’ve noticed somebody doing that as well, lol. Re-issue, Rare. I just laugh, whats worse, they also sometimes have the price more than an original figure.

  8. Ed Borris says:

Of course when he used the word rare he could have beenn ordering a steak.

  9. Brian Johnson says:

If you look at the condition of the other figures in the auction he either has a Baby or a Dog!!LOL.

  10. Ed Connell says:

I’ll never forget this one listing I checked out Ed, It listed a Marx Fort Apache carry case. The guy said it was in his Dad’s attic/display room, and his Dad had valuable Marx toys in his room. They were the MPC cavalry, and Indians in the set, some of them were even damaged, he also put a little note below in the bottom description that he wasn’t sure if the figures were part of the set or not. He had a lot of transactions by his name. He also wanted like $200 dollars for it, it was pretty bad. I think that was just out, and out Fraud.

  11. erwin says:

Someone is bidding for his “RARE RUSSIANS”, including the wounded and the damaged with dog or hungry baby bites!!I hope the bidder do not get disappointed after!!.I love eBay!!!LOL!!!

  12. Ed Borris says:

There are all kinds on e-bay, the ignorant, has no idea what they have or what they are selling. The snakes, they will put a pile of figures out there and right on the top partially hidden of course they will have a character figure carefully place in the pile that just so happens to hide the part of the character figure that is damaged. In the past you used to be able to find good items cheap because they honestly didn’t know what they had, those finds are rare today. Today you find someone that knows what they have but think it’s worth like 3 times it’s actual value. There was a guy that was trying to sell a teal Custer asking price $700.00, you can get those almost anywhere for $200 to $250.

  13. Ed Connell says:

Lol, I don’t like the marx Custer figure that much, thank goodness. I would have definitely converted him if he were cheap, and easily to get. If I did own the figure I would definitely at least put a saber in his waving hand. I think they should have made him in a much better pose than the one he is in.

I know about people hiding damaged figures, Never buy anything unless you can tell for sure what you are getting. People put figures in a bag, nope will never buy those either.

  14. I messaged him and told him to look at my website. I don’t message often as like others have enxperienced you take a lot of grief. A month or two ago a guy put up a Marx Eskimo blister card that was beat up RAREST OF THE RARE minimum bid was $5,000…… I explained to him it was not that rare and in the condition it was in $150.00-200.00 tops. He blasted me and then when Eric Johns messaged him and told him the same thing, he blast him and while doing so dragged me threw the mud as well

      Kent
That is why I stay away from helping people. As one dealer told me many years ago, someone will pay my price. The dealer may have over paid and did not want to hear the truth

  15. Ed Borris says:

Well, as they say, ( not sure why they say it) but the proof is in the pudding. of course if I find something in my pudding I’m throwing it out. I think he will soon find out that $5,000.00 bids will not be forthcoming. Of course he’ll probably blame you Kent. See what you get when you try to help? Maybe, he just figured there was one sucker out there that would believe his description and pay that amount.

My favorite e-bayers are those that will pay more for figures than they would pay if they bought them on-line from the dealers that made them. Maybe there was hope for Mr $5,000.00 afterall.
