Mystery Castle

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Our very good friend Andreas Dittmann send me several pictures of a rubber castle he purchased. The castle is about 78 cm by 48 cm and 40 cm (39″ long by 19″ wide and 15″ high.}  Andreas feels it was designed for HO Figures.

Andreas asked me what I thought of the castle. I thought that it might be a master for vacuum form castle.  Since we are not sure, we decided to share these pictures to get your feedback,

Thank you for the information, Andreas he thought it might it be base on a real castle. Here is what he had found out.
“I guess that there may be a real castle and that the rubber castle is more a model than a toy.

I wrote mails to several castle and fortress specialists around Europe. For a loong time no one had an idea. But two weeks ago I got a mail from – I couldn´t believe – from Henry XVIII province of somewhat.
Henry XVII, who is the president of the European Castle research Foundation, wrote that the castle is not an exact copy but has clear similarities to two castles in Hessia (“Muenzenberg” and “Friedrichstein”).

Sorry. Don’t know about the architecture data as I’m not an expert at all!!.He may got a very close answer from where came from; but I know was done in silicone and it is from a real castle, they said from France. (by looking at pictures provide the keep=main inside round tower do not look tall enough to be like (Bergfried ); but it look very similar to the Münzenberg Castle ruins that can be found in internet as it is next to a rectangular lord hause, just in the opposite position. The roman outer entrance look more like central European Romanesque style=very similar to most old German castles..But also used by Normans in France and England after 1066 AD. The outside Motte-and-bailey wall and construction is a very Norman style, copied later by many others. So I was told it was from a Norman castle in France. But I could be wrong informed. Is definitely from a real castle like I mentioned. And I have seen it before as in another store, plus I knew the factory that were doing it in China years ago. As it was on original Chinese mold done!?;, may be not, they just copied from other!!??. No more information for now..I will investigate more..Best regards. Erwin
