History of OWN Figures

Erwin Sell has decided to share the history OWN figures. It is  very interesting and fascinating.

OWN is literally (“overall war nation”)!?…in other words; they try to write/type in English initials (all wars of the nation) referring to all China’s war theme… OWN was a very nationalist company dedicated to the pure history of China and her enemies, they had fought in so many wars. The original intent of the production/sale was to offer tourist with historical toy soldiers at the thousand locals’ museums shops all around China. Then after some political and else issues, some lots were put to sale locally in China but the company stop sending them to the museums because it ran into some economics problems. The molds were then bought by a warehouse factory that stocked them and never produced  I discover them in one of my trips to China for my official business retail job. After many back and forth and many negatives; one of the warehouse managers offered to sell to me some old stock quantities and if the business goes well, they will produce the other never released molds that I have seen them and a few samples shots too. Remember, China is complicated world; not what you see on TV or Hollywood. It is a country where old tradition morals are very deep. but these traditions are clashing with new aggressive socialist and old fashions capitalism which are taking over. Many taboos and negatives…Many favoritisms and big companies block small companies with fees and even political pressure so the US and European investors only reach the big warehouse factories suppliers. Some metal figures were produced too under the same company name, these metal figures were by a personal request of a British investor/collector who pass away in 2006…so they got stock with some old metal production run in metal that I have seen in local museum stores in China today. I will not carry them as even though they are painted, with great detail and produced in white metal in other different periods; the prices offered to me are very high to resale them in big quantities. The plastic sets prices offered to me are not cheap either, that is why I had to offer them at the higher price for sale…. They will do more sets of same wars and if goes well will go back in to medieval and ancient periods that some molds were made, but never cast too.
