Clarification & I forgot to Mention

I received an email today from Steve Weston of Weston Toys. Steve mention that  the new Alamo figures from King & Country he saw  were high quality plastic figures not resin as had been mention before.

Also I forgot to mention that King & Country is doing a plastic tank. The tank is to be a Sherman tank in hard plastic similar to Forces of Valor and 21st Century, but better quality.  The tank will be expensive.

We will pass along more details as we get them.

Hopefully, if they’re plastic, they’ll also offer them as unpainted. Maybe then I can afford to get some. But when I look at the Conte Alamo Mexicans, also in 60mm, I think King & Country will have a hard time surpassing Conte, whose figures included most of the possible posing, including standing and kneeling firing both straight ahead, as well as standing and kneeling firing upward, along with excellent marching and loading poses.

Incidently, for anyone in metro-Detroit, Michigan, tomorrow (Saturday, 10/19/2013 is the Michigan Toy Soldier Company toy soldier flea market, where all collectors are welcome to set up tables in the store parking lot, for free, and Rick Berry supplies the hot dogs, chips, and drinks (also for free!).

The figures will not be sold unpainted.
Let us how the Michigan Toy Soldier Company toy soldier flea market was?

Unfortunately, we were rained out, with all-day rains which started early this morning. I still went, because I knew there would still be a gathering inside the store of committed collectors, which there was. But there was just too much rain to set up tables in the open-air parking lot outside the store. The whole thing has been rescheduled to next Saturday, Oct. 26, at the same time — 10:00 AM.

A little disappointed they are doing a Sherman since its been done in plastic by numerous companies. K&C has done many Tanks and vehicles that have never been done in plastic like their British, Italian and French tanks and vehicles. I would really like to see their Char B done in plastic.

Concur, think we have enuff Shermans and Tigers and Panthers oh my to last for awhile.Need WW2 French(especially the Char bis),Italian,Japanese, other British beside the “Churchill”,other Russians beside the good old T-34 and more Cold War,”Modern” day AFV’s.

  3. I hate to see the words ‘plastic’ and ‘expensive’ in the same sentence! I dearly love the K&C stuff, but own zilch: nada. I have ONE Conte’ metal: Gunga Din.
