Is This figure MPC, Empire or Someone Else

I found this figure and I first thought that it might be MPC. There are no markings and the figure is four inches high so it could be another maker. Do you have any idea? let us know?

Paul – Tim Mee / Processed Plastics – With many “copies” coming from So America . I’m told a variant of the one guy holding his “space stick” over head has him holding a gun . https://www.google.com/search?q=tim+mee+processed+plastic+space+figures&rlz=1C1_____enUS463US463&um=1&ie=UTF-

  2. One of the eight space figures Processed Plastic made in the late 1970s. Two astronauts, 2 “Buck Rogers” (woman and man with ray gun), 3 “Star Wars” (Darth, Chewy & 3CPO) and a space turtle this was an inspired set to take advantage of the explosion of space/fantasy themes taking place in the late 70s. A popular seller sold under their own name and their subsidiary division Tim-Mee Toys (acquired in 1964/65) name. Six of the figures were also made in a 5 inch size.

Kent, the figures you are referring to were not 4 inches.

  4. Thanks Lynn you are right the figure in the picture is one of the bigger Processed Plastic (Tim-Mee) 4-5 inch space figures that were done 1:1 with the master sculpts. They only did six of the eight poses in this larger scale leaving out the other astronaut and I think the woman.

  5. Of course these were done to get under the price of the HASBRO, etc. Star Wars “action” figures … while still affording crossover play value!
