Some interesting Conversions

I have not talked about my toy hunting lately as I have been very busy with various projects.  I have had some good hunting these past few weeks and have picked up some great items  for resale. One item I picked up was a box of conversion figures. I like conversion figures as it gives you different poses for your scenes. Case in point the three figures above. the person took three Marx Civil War figures into looters. They could be placed at a farm house or mansion. Also they could be used in a wesrten setting as well.

Here is another example of the person’s conversions, this time Marx pioneers. I like the second from the right, but all four of these figures are nice. I will be putting these figures up on Ebay in the next day or so

I think he used the 54mm bandit with strongbox for the the one looter or at least his upper body with a new arm, legs and head, not quite sure what legs he used.

I made these conversions quite awhile back. I don’t remember who I sent them to. Ed B is correct as to the Marx bandit arm. The other arm is a BMC 7th cav piece. If I remember correctly, the torso is the shot/falling Marx Rebel. Good to see they are holding up well. Ed bought a Josie Wales set from me.

      Hi Mike
Small world, I picked them up at a local flea market. The guy shows up at this flea market with various plastic items several times a year.

Yes, I did, unfortunately I had to sell that set to Joe Baker, there was a lot of Josey Wales excitement at the last OTSN what with the autographed Josey Wales box and everything, I couldn’t help myself. If you ever make another one, I’d be interested. I actually expanded it somewhat before selling it, made a box and everything, Joe was quite taken with the set. I hated to part with it.
