Interview with Mikail Glikin Plastic Platoon Erwin Sell did a interview with Mikail. The interview gives  the reason Mikail did Vietnam figures.  We also get some insight on how the figures are made and more.

Erwin:  Are your collector?

Mikail:  I’m a collector. In my collection, I have 10,000 plastic toy soldiersin 1/32scale.  I really wanted Vietnam figures. But no one did them.  I had to dothem myself. 

Erwin: Well you did great.

Mikail: Thank you We will not stop here. We will improve the quality, dynamics, detail. If you want to do something well, do it yourself.

Erwin: Can you talk about the process of the figures.

MIkail: We use some common sculptors, but the technology is different. All equipment and weapons we do on a 3d printer. We have a hybrid technology.

Erwin: Excellent  information,  thank you.  Do you sell more in Europe than U.S. 

Mikail: I do not know how many of my soldiers are sold in the US and Europe in total. Four dealers buy from me in bulk and sell abroad but  they are only Russians.

Erwin: Interesting your figures are setting a new standard.

Mikail: Thank you.  We will not restop here. We will improve the quality, the dynamices and detail.  If you want to do something well do it yourself.

As noted in the comments from Erwin, Plastic Platon will continue for the moment with Vietnam war.  He has plans for enemy forces including Vietcong and North Vietnam army. Later Mikail may venture into Woirld War Two.  We will keep following this exciting line and will let you know what we hear.
