As we just mention the next Plastic Platoon has six  figures with two section wall.

The poses that we see are holding M14 in his right hand.  To his right we have a soldier throwing a grenade. The next soldier is holding rifle ready to shoot from his position. The front row shows two kneeling poses.

Kneeling first pose has the soldier has a forty-five pistol in his right hand. In his left hand it looks like a walkie talkie. The other kneeling pose has the soldier looking back. At the same time he is reaching with his right hand into a pouch on his bandolier. His left hand holds his rifle.

The last figure is wounded soldier.  The soldier has bandage around his head. In his right hand he has a M14.

The figures are once have excellent  detail. One complaint I am sure I am going to hear is not enough action poses. We have not heard if there will other poses. Also we do not have prices or when they will be release. As soon as we know any more details we will post them.

    Very, very nice.

  2. Andy says:

Good original unusual poses. Not the same ol’ running and shooting.

  3. Jeremy Haupt says:

I picked up the last set of Plastic Platoon and will definately get these. Kinda thought that maybe a VC or NVA set might be next. Definately interested in the updates. Cheers!

  4. Brian Johnson says:

WIA pose holding M16 NOT M14.

For me everybody is action as far is advancing, loading rifle, hand fighting or else That is been in action during combat .Now the wounded pose is literally “out of action” x sure .Still a great pose .
The set poses choices remain me of some scenes of film Full metal jacket .
So far between Mars ,TSSD and this brand there over 52 poses of american soldiers/marines x Vietnam now done plus these new release .Not counting the TM vintage and variation done after by others that will add x sure as well, there enough x any vietnam scene.
Enemies need probably more sets as well.
Unfortunately in my count I eliminate action casting as neither my like in quality for the price nor were available but only in insignificant numbers that let many wanting then still x ever.
    my thoughts.
    best

This set looks like Marines at the Battle of Hue. Excellent figures. The only minor issue is the figure peering out of the semi- circle of the wall, his helmet looks wrong.

Is the angle of picture.I got more photos and does not look wrong to me …
I also noticed they did weapons in better scale than before .

wish these were sold in america so when i buy them they don’t go threw freeze thaw and get them broken like both my ww2 Russians and one of my vikings sets overall great figures just wish i got 2 for the price of one for each pose so i could paint one and have a spare

  8. Erwin says:

The maker of these has nothing to do w same plastic used by other Russia PLUVIUS.
He is only using same artist.
Yet PLU change plastic long ago since last 4 sets in well soft plastic that u can bend weapons almost complete w out brake at all..
.Also Hobby Bunker will carry these here in US as far they annunced .
    Best.

I think there is plenty of action in those poses, they aren’t firing, but you can clearly tell what they are doing.

  10. Gary Binder says:

Nice looking. I like seeing M14s, although the Marines held onto theirs longer than the Army did. The first outfits from either service arrived in Viet Nam with M14s, but they were gradually replaced with M16s.

Looks like the kneeling guy with 45 is holding a blood plasma bottle. Nice looking figures, just a bit out of my price range. I do love unique poses like this, they add something different to a scene when mixed with the more common running shooting ect. poses.

He’s a medic, wielding a .45 (which, if I recall might have been practiced but wasn’t official until Nam due to the lack of respect for noncombatant status for our medics by the VC and NVa) while holding a plasma bottle above the wounded guy. Awesome pose! IMHO.

The helmet from the angle of the pic does look a bit off – but considering the guy doesn’t have a camouflage band it could just be a loose camouflage cover. When I was in we used to take our new covers, stretch them as tight as we could over our “pots” – and later Kevlars – then wet them down so they would shrink and fit tightly over our helmets, thus looking smarter than if we just pulled it loosely over. But realistically, part of the purpose of a cammie cover is to break the smooth contour of the helmet so you don’t stand out so well from your surroundings; so the shrinking is kind of self-defeating. But we looked good.

At the same time, there are slits to jam brush twigs and leaves and such to help break up your silhouette. I know I’m running long, and Erwin says the guy looks okay in person – but even if it was a bit off-kilter at least this is what I consider a reasonable explanation.

These are some superb guys, just out of my range. I love the poses, they are realistic. I hate to say it, but most of the best-loved types of poses would get the guys waxed within the first few seconds of a heavy firefight. But they’d look cool going down.

More amazing toy soldiers that I will never own… Seeing these expensive sets reminds me of the depression I felt when I received my first Delson catalog back in the late 80s. For weeks, until I discovered Stone Castle Imports and Hobby Bunker, I went around with this sinking feeling that collecting toy soldiers was now a “rich man’s” hobby and I was thereby excluded from indulging in my favorite pastime.

      Wayne …
In response to helmet and else .First I like say I had not figures in my hand but received plenty more pictures .Regarding the helmets maker responded as follow using a translator .
The pictures will be send to admin-Paul to be posted as he can or may .

I’m Mikail Blikin is the owner and manufactures of Plastic Platoon sets .
The new sets of marines (1st set)made specifically for the battle of Hue 1968 and base in historical photos images extracted and elaborated in to 3D images .The helmets, weapons and gear are designed in 3D and printed separated .Figure is sculpted .
The helmet depicted in marine has the cover and was extracted 3D scanned from a war photo as show in another image sample provided.
