We first met Markus  when we went to Germany for the German Plastic Show.  It has been several of years since Laurie and I have beenback, markus and I keep in touch via email. Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017 Kinder Eggs

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017

I have enjoyed Kinder Eggs  since I first discovered them on my first trip to London. A collector clued me about them and started collecting  over the years on trips as they were banned in the U.S.  That has changed  as Brian Johnson points out from this article.

Most of these figures are Ice Age.  The dinosaur is from their own character line.

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017  Marx

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017

Markus sent me several Marx figures.  It is surprising to see what shows up in Europe. Markus sent me two of the 60mm Marx pioneers.

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017

This one was a surprise.  We have here a six inch reissue of the Marx 6 inch British army officer.  The figure is missing its Marx markings on the bottom.  I have heard various of the six inch Marx figure have been sold in Europe.

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017 EKO

Markus Lecksheid Plastic Figure Finds November 2017

Eko made a series of castless.  They would included  various knights to round out the set. The figures would be copies of various companies.  In this and other photos you will see copies of Lone Star, Starlux and other Frrench companies.

The king is a copy of the Lone Star King.

Some my readers who got my list may recognize some of the knights in the photos. We had gotten them on a trip to Germany. Laurie and I took a trip to Belgium. In a Toy R Us we found boxes  of reissue French knights.

I hope Markus enjoys what I sent him.

The Jim figures look great – what scale are they? 70mm like the Crockett figure? The Isabella figure is nice, too. I’ve always thought there weren’t nearly enough good female figures. I’ve picked up some here and there – the Barzso pioneer ladies; Weston’s Mexican with a broom, as well as a couple others. For awhile I was looking for a decent female to convert to Susannah Dickenson but finally picked up a metal from King and Country at the Texas Show in 2015. Whatcha gonna do?

      Wayne.
Jim napoleonic and French revolution figures are close to 60 mm not counting hat.I have both sets minos one officer. So are others as well.European had made plenty female poses and they dress clothing are more old eras accordingly and well suitable for many scenarios .

      • Wayne W says:

I have some of the Replicants females; they are pretty good, but so many are holding guns or not suitable for my needs – Barzso’s females might be more practical as far as poses go, but unless he re-issues some I’m not going to carve what I have. Right now, my K&C Susannah will do okay – and she’s already painted nicely.

I am looking for a female figure I can put in a pose crouching in a corner holding her infant. I guess if we found everything right away it would get boring.

    Happy THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!
Nice finds and great items Admin.
In not order by memory ,The cowboy with swivel arms is LEPICARD brand ,the other hand suppose to have a lasso to represent Lone ranger, when done with out painted face mask other arms with rifle and revolver or knife were done as well.
The first Indian tall figure 75 mm is ASTRID brand as well ,they did many nice poses that resemble Elastolin and STARLUX mix but not copies.
The prone soldiers is attributed to be by Czech republic from 1939-1937 and claim to be the first plastic type soldiers made in Europe ,the factory was in Zlin and got bombed -destroyed in 1944 unfortunately with loss of all mold else. The figures are know to be made in 3 color variation Light brown ,blue x France and green for Czech. They were sold in France ,Belgium and those sold in France had (imported from CZECH words bellow generally). Some copies were made by unknown factory .The uniform is pre 1938 army and weapon depicted in prone pose is famous ZB vz. 26  from were the Bren gun and Type 96 were later derivative. The weapon was exported and used by many countries as well the Germans occupiers since 1938/39.

The marx 6″ is made in Italy, three companies sold then ,not known who was the mold maker .The actually varied for few mm in size versus original. So far i know of the cowboys and germans made as well…Very hard to find apparently from late 70s ..
    best..

    • admin says:

The six inch is not from Italy. It is marked Hong Kong. Europe has had some of the six inch for sale.

      • Erwin says:

Then could by Rado.I have few japanese w HK in words bellow in bags by Rado packing. The HK are abundant.
other day I spot a lot of Canadians made by Rado on ebay .they sold out very cheap.
        Mine are from 80s.
If not mark that was what I though are the made in Italy as far I had seen and also sold in bags of 3 to 5 figures. But italian verssion I had seen are a bit taller .While the Hk are reissues from old Marx mold or copies well done of painted Marx.
        Best.

  4. ERWIN SELL says:

All poses knights are direct copy of JEM france ,later sold by Ludorev in 90s and this not painted version had been sold x long as well by several distributor .The king pose indeed is base not clone from LS,rest are original made in France . The Ludorev version was sold limited here in painted format with castles (5 different made) included Robin Hood rare set..

  5. ed borris says:

I like the French Napoleonic and of course the revised pose pioneers.

  6. denitz says:

This Isabelle is JEM, not Caiffa.

    Cowboy with banjo – Cyrnos

  7. berthoux says:

Sorry Fritz but the prone soldier is not Czech but French…. it’s a Cyrnos (and the machine gun is a Châtellereault 24/29). Cyrnos made a lot of prone gunner ( here on the “soldat plastique 1/32 forum”: http://soldatplastique-1-32.forumgratuit.org/t4321-cyrnos-les-mitrailleurs)
Best my friend and happy birthday again 🙂
Best from France to all and happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

    • Erwin says:

Thank u Matthias x point or correction . I thought was base in same figure being cataloged as that in Czh blog years ago. They are the one claiming it.Not me that is why I post “””(attributed) “”””;as they claim french copied it too.So maybe is something you two countries need figure out not me.Sorry i can not help there.
Because they have exact pose mark as made in theirs as well.
Also was posted in a Figuren magazine years ago with others figures again attributed as from same Czechoslovakia. The pictures was taken by a collector that visit a Toys museum in Czechoslovakia.http://www.muzeum-technickych-hracek.cz/o-muzeu.
But like i say is not x me to proof who did it first .The figure in post really look like non French in helmet and not common french infantry uniform 1914-1940 ,neither the machine gun could be clearly identified and could either be a ZB vz. 26,a FM 24/29 or many others alike that were base in the American BAR and Madsen light machine Gun in reality. It could had been the figure was of course copied from France Cyrano or else too.
      Just my thoughts.
      Best…

      • Brian Carrick says:

Hi Erwin, the factory in Zlin was Bata and the figures they made were in very hard vulcanised rubber, unlike the softer “goma” rubber figures made in Spain and Italy. Otherwise, the information you have given about them above is correct but they are much larger and a different style from these Cyrnos figures.

        • Erwin says:

          BRIAN.
Like I say.not given to me.post in blog by then .Figure above is included and they claimed production w 8 figures.
Not as the 75mm dress in pre 1938 uniform that a collector posted many years ago in PW in a not complete set poses and describe by him as acetate material not quite vulcanizer material. There is a difference .
I think was same collector post more and some these claiming that in Figuren Magazine. The one he post include this in picture here are mix dress uniform and present at above museum he claim where he took photos from.
Others Czh collectors claim same at international plastic toy soldier blog
If copied by them or otherwise not x me or any body to correct unless proved .

          Best.

  8. Peter Evans says:

The Marx British officer could have been made by RI TI Toys of Hong Kong.
They had a number of ex Marx moulds.
Mike Ellis imported several sets into the UK in the 1990s.
Ri Ti had the Romans, Vikings, WW2 British and Germans, Japanese and Canadian troops. They also had a number of figures that were never released by Marx but seemed to be a larger “Warriors of the World” series, 6 inch Alamo Mexicans, African Askari and Highlanders. It appears that there was only two of each pose in this series.
These figures were sold in the UK for 15 pence per bag (!) by Zodiac Toys, a British chain of Toy Stores no longer in business

    • admin says:

I said they were sold in Europe but never here in the states. I had the 6″ Mexican. RI TI is related to Rado.

    • admin says:

After I completing my reply. I remembered my mother getting me on a trip to Canada getting a bag of the British by Ri TI

      • Erwin says:

Is true every time I see then are from Canada or UK.
I had the cowboys as joung in my country Ra do and swap then x other figures.
I saw the PW with highlanders and I think they showed the mold of some too.
Was intersting post as Peter mentioned some were not done as Goldmarx series.I think there was a british pose not done too but produced by HK.
I could be confused as not w issues any more that was done before they start using colors in PW.The pose of highlander was in front of it.

        Best

  9. peter evans says:

The Highlander was in Red/brown Plastic
