Twenty Fun Years

Wednesday will mark Laurie’s and myself’s twentieth wedding anniversary. It seems like only yesterday I was meeting her for the first time.  We had a blind date but found out that we had friends in common. Her mother knew my mother before I was born.  I knew she was different as she did voices and sound effects.  In a later date I took her to a toy show and she loved it. I knew I was done.

That day we had a simple affair with friends and family. Cindy my dog at the time was the ring bearer. We had an outside ceremony and then had dinner inside at the restaurants.  It was a fun time.

We have gone through a lot: loss of family, job changes etc.  We still enjoy doing the toy shows and flea markets.  Now we have three happy dogs  that are part of our life. Here is another fun twenty years.

Happy 20th anniversary Paul and Laurie. If my memory serves me correctly, when I first met Laurie at OTSN the two of you had just recently married, and I remember thinking the two of you seemed perfectly happy. Congratulations! I will be attending OTSN again this year, and look forward to seeing old friends again, but it’s always bittersweet when you realize that old friends like Walt Keener and Warren Mitchell aren’t around anymore.

I miss Walt and do not know if met Mitchell. I first met Walt Keener at one of the auction of the Marx warehouse. Stuff went so cheap then. Today the items would go for silly money.

Happy Anniversary Paul and Laurie! When you find the right one life is so much better. May you celebrate AT LEAST 20 more (hopefully many more).
