Is this the rubber like soldiers we saw earlier? The guy with the boot off? I can not find these on eBay. Any help would be appreciated. Ed Bearnson. 9-4-17.

  2. Erwin says:

    Clarification.
Alex will not have these figures till two three weeks in his ebay ID list above.I will update it w he got then.
You can buy direct from him at facebook searching his name around same time also.He sold first run small batch already out ebay.
They are not rubber but soft plastic please.
    Thanks.
    Best.

  3. Edward L Bearnson says:

Just one more clarification. Is this the same set that had the soldier with the boot off. Don’t mean
to be picky, just want to get the same set posted on this forum a few weeks back. Thanks, Ed
    Bearnson 9-4-17.

  4. Bill Nevins says:

100 bucks for a couple of plastic figures that are still in production?

    Not me.

  5. Tom Black says:

How many poses for $105.00? Up above there is 8 poses plus sandbags and logs. Is that $105.00 or does it include the shotgun carrying soldier, radioman with shoe off, officer firing pistol with talking into radio and others? How many sets?

  6. ERWIN SELL says:

To every body i will update this info by tomorrow morning as soon Alex respond .

    • ERWIN SELL says:

Sorry the set is of all 12 poses figures;so 12 figures in all 12 poses x 105.00 plus shipping .What i’m not sure is about the barricade piece.
The price is about same every Publius figures sale usually as their set are 6 figures x 50.00 or more as they will increase soon with new release set coming soon ,not modern war related.
      best

  7. Gary Kuepfert says:

Yesterday I just ordered thru facebook (Alex Alexeev) the last set of 12 different figures $107 includeing postage. He advised me in about 3 weeks he will be getting more sets and will have them on ebay. Or as mentioned if you order thru facebook they are a few dollars cheaper. I won’t argue that $107 is expensive for plastic but if you are into Vietnam and these figures look to be some of the best plastic ever produced a one time shot of $107 is well worth it for me.

    • ed borris says:

I’ve taken worst gambles since I’ve been married twice, but for that price I’d like to hold them in my hand first. Hell, I barely trust me and I know myself well.

  8. Wayne W says:

I’m going to have to pass – as lovely as they are. I just can’t justify in my mind (forget my wife) paying that much for toy soldiers. One of the reasons I don’t collect metals is the expense. But to each his own. I welcome the new entry to the hobby and the joy for those who are willing to spend that money on them.

  9. Edward L Bearnson says:

I would like to get them as cheap as possible. I am on Facebook. Since you got the last one. I hope he will keep selling via Facebook. Do you know if it comes with the logs etc.
Thanks, to you to Stad for bringing this exciting new product to our attention. Best,
    Ed Bearnson. 9-5-17.

  10. Len Hardt says:

I was ALMOST persuaded to pull the trigger on these, as I thought the timing was perfect for my Chicago Toy Soldier Show diorama – and I thought that everyone would like to see them next to Nick’s, John’s, and Mars’s figures. But this discussion has decided it for me – three weeks is too late for the show. It also gave me some time to let my conscience talk to me – 110 dollars for 12 (?) plastic figures (of dubious plastic composition) – even if it DOES include the logs. But if you HAVE to have them, rock on! They are beautiful indeed.

    • ed borris says:

Three weeks from today the show would be over. Heck, why spend $110.00 when you can punch Mike Kutnick for 25 cents and probably get more satisfaction. Just think no matter how much damage you do, you can’t make him any uglier. I think stitches will give his face character.

  11. Andy says:

Did anybody here ever buy the 6 Indians for $50 + shipping from this guy?
    What are they like?

    • Len Hardt says:

After I just finished giving my speech about the overpriced Vietnam guys, I have to say (confess), “Yes, I did.” As to your question about the seller, I don’t remember if it was from this guy, but I did get the set of “over the top” Plains Indians. My justification was that I would use them as Character figures.
They arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but even though they were made of a rubbery material, one was broken. The middle of the arm was broken clean in half. I’m not sure how it could have happened (weak spot from poor molding?). I contacted the seller, and he requested a photo of the broken figure. I did so and he sent a replacement. I can’t complain.

  12. Edward L Bearnson says:

How do you find this Alex guy on Facebook. I tried alex2010collection and could not find
    him. Thanks, Ed Bearnson. 9-5-17.

  13. Christian Aldo says:

    3 sets for me!
More excited about the upcoming VC and NVA sets!!

  14. Henry Paas says:

I’m not buying these figures anymore i have bought the Saxons, a set of Russians, and 2/3 sets of vikings but it always seems one of the figures comes broken i love the sculpts but it is simply to pricey to have figures showing up broken that cost 10 dollars a piece

  15. Mark T. says:

They are very tempting, and I seriously considered them, but I really don’t want to risk a divorce over toy soldiers. A $40 order gets me in the doghouse as it is. Maybe I’ll just pray for Chinese Knock-Offs to show up at Dollar Tree one day.

  16. Edward L Bearnson says:

    Dear Erwin,
Thanks, so much for all your help. I sent a question via eBay and I sent a friend request
under the name Alex Alexeev. Best, Ed Bearnson 9-6-17.

  17. Guest97 says:

BTW, if you are interested in the details of those figures’ development, they have a personal page in VK social media: https://vk.com/plasticplatoon

  18. Edward L Bearnson says:

I ordered them a week ago from Alex. Now teach me to read Russian so I can read how they were made. Ed Bearnson 10-17-17.

    • Erwin says:

Use google translator .it will do a 90% correct translation.
Any ways the explsnetionnis not quite deetailed neither specific.
      Best..

  19. Jeremy Haupt says:

I have to say that I have picked up most of the Engineer Bassevich and Pvblius WW2 sets…and the quality of this set seems much better. I can’t wait to paint them. Please post any pics of the VC or NVA sets by Plastic Platoon.

    Cheers,

    Jeremy
